Ratají nad Sázavou Running Race Sets New Participation Record

The annual "Běh na Kamenný stůl" race in Ratají nad Sázavou attracted a record number of participants, with hundreds of runners completing the 8.7‑kilometre course that features a hilly profile. The event also offered children's tracks starting at 200 metres.

The race was first organised in 2016 by local runner Martin Vacka, who wanted to link his hobby with the historic Kamenný stůl monument located about five kilometres from the town. Over ten years the competition has grown into a popular fixture in the Central Bohemian running calendar, drawing both novice and experienced athletes.

The Kamenný stůl, a stone table erected in 1905 for the 57th Congress of the Czech Forestry Union, serves as the race’s namesake and a symbolic gathering point, recalling its original use for ceremonial gatherings.
