Raul Fernandez signs two‑year extension with Trackhouse MotoGP team
Trackhouse Racing announced that Spanish rider Raul Fernandez will remain with the team for the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP seasons. Team owner Justin Marks said Fernandez has “grown as a rider, both on the bike and in preparation, approach and maturity,” and that the squad believes the pair can become a consistent championship threat.
Fernandez, who joined Trackhouse in 2024, is sixth in the world standings with 159 points, has three Grand Prix podiums and two sprint‑race victories in 2026, and recorded the team’s first premier‑class win at the Australian Grand Prix. The extension comes as teammate Ai Ogura is set to move to the Yamaha factory, with Enea Bastianini expected to join Fernandez at Trackhouse for 2027.
The deal follows months of negotiations after Fernandez sought a two‑year contract while the team initially preferred a shorter term. The renewal secures the rider’s future amid upcoming technical regulation changes in MotoGP.
