Raul Rosas Jr. wins UFC main event as Raoni Barcelos is hospitalized

Raul Rosas Jr. secured a fifth-round TKO victory against Raoni Barcelos during the UFC Vegas 121 main event in Las Vegas, but the win was overshadowed by a medical emergency involving Barcelos.

During the final round, Barcelos appeared to lose consciousness following a takedown by Rosas Jr. The Brazilian veteran remained motionless on the canvas for over a minute, prompting referee Herb Dean to stop the fight. Barcelos was subsequently placed on a stretcher and transported to a Level 1 trauma center for evaluation, including a CT scan.

Following the incident, the UFC released a statement confirming that Barcelos was stable, alert, and responsive with full movement. His coach, Davi Ramos, also provided updates on social media, stating that the fighter was conscious and communicating normally. Rosas Jr., who extended his winning streak to six, expressed significant concern for his opponent and asked the audience to pray for Barcelos's recovery.
