Rautenberg Druck expands digital printing with Heidelberg Jetfire 50
Rautenberg Druck GmbH, a printing company based in Leer, is expanding its digital printing capacities by investing in Heidelberg’s Jetfire 50 industrial inkjet system. This expansion is a strategic response to shifting market trends, specifically the increasing demand for smaller print runs and highly individualized or personalized products.
The company intends to utilize a hybrid production model, combining the new digital inkjet technology with its existing offset printing capabilities, including the Speedmaster XL 106. This approach aims to provide greater flexibility and efficiency across its product range, which includes advertising materials, business stationery, mailings, folding boxes, and signage technology.
Managing directors Stefan Schulz and Tobias Hoffmann noted that the decision followed a technical and economic analysis conducted with Heidelberg experts. Rautenberg Druck, which employs approximately 80 people, also operates the online shop ‘printoo’ for both B2B and B2C customers.
