Ravanusa achieves record 76.47% waste recycling rate

The municipality of Ravanusa has achieved a waste recycling rate of 76.47% as of September, marking the first time the city has surpassed the 70% threshold.

This milestone is the result of collaborative efforts between local citizens, municipal institutions, and Ravanusa Ambiente e Risorse S. r. l. (RAR), the in-house company responsible for waste collection and street cleaning. The company has focused on improving both the efficiency of the collection system and the overall quality of sorted materials to increase recycling and reduce landfill waste.

Giovanni Montana, President of RAR, expressed pride in the achievement, noting that the goal of exceeding 70% was met significantly. He credited the success to the daily cooperation of Ravanusa's citizens and the hard work of the company's operators.
