Ravanusa reorganizes waste collection amid facility closures

The temporary closure of waste disposal facilities until August 24 is causing management difficulties for waste collection in several municipalities within the province of Agrigento, Italy.

In Ravanusa, the local service provider RAR – Ravanusa Ambiente e Risorse has reorganized its resources and vehicles to maintain service continuity. The company aims to ensure that paper, cardboard, and plastic collection follows the established schedule to prevent service disruptions for citizens and businesses, particularly during the high-demand Ferragosto period.

Giovanni Montana, president of RAR, stated that the company has worked in advance to reorganize services to mitigate the impact of the facility closures on the community.
