Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor recall intense 1990s Bollywood schedules

Bollywood actresses Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor recently shared recollections of the intense working conditions in the Indian film industry during the 1990s. Appearing on the semi-finale of the dance reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’, the two stars discussed the grueling schedules they maintained during that era.

Tandon described a routine where she and Kapoor would often manage up to six different film productions in a single day. She remarked that they essentially worked “36 hours in a 24-hour day,” moving between sets every few hours. The workload was so demanding that Tandon noted she would occasionally lose track of which character she was portraying in a specific film.

Kapoor added that much of their work was centered in Film City, with shooting schedules frequently beginning as early as 7:00 AM. The actresses recalled the constant need to change costumes while traveling between locations to meet immediate filming requirements.
