Ravenna authorities rescue seven emaciated dogs from neglect

Carabinieri Forestali officers rescued seven emaciated dogs during a welfare check in Savio, Ravenna. The animals, including Griffons, a hound, and two mixed breeds, were found in severe physical decline, showing significant weight loss and muscle reduction.

The dogs were kept in three boxes amidst extreme unsanitary conditions, including large accumulations of excrement. Their only water source was a bucket of stagnant, putrid water containing mosquito larvae.

Following the inspection, authorities seized the facility and the animals. The dogs have been transferred to the custody of the Municipality of Ravenna to receive necessary medical care.
