Ravenna reports 25% passenger increase on free Line 1
Ravenna's Line 1 public transport service has seen a 25% increase in passengers during the first 15 days of its winter schedule compared to the same period last year. This growth follows the municipal administration's decision to make the entire line free of charge.
Managed by Start Romagna, the free service began on September 15 and operates daily from the first to the last trip. Unlike previous experiments on Line 80, the current measure covers the entire route, connecting free parking areas with the city center, the historic district, healthcare facilities, and Porto Fuori. The administration has planned to maintain this free service for the next three years to encourage sustainable mobility and improve city accessibility.
