Ravenna residents warned of fraudulent traffic fine emails

Authorities in Ravenna are warning residents about a surge in fraudulent emails claiming to be traffic violation notices. These scams target taxpayers by requesting payments of up to 360 euros through the PagoPa system, often promising a 50% discount if paid within 48 hours.

The fake notices use generic greetings such as “gentile cittadino” and lack essential details required for a legitimate fine, including the specific date, month, year, time, and exact location of the alleged infraction. Residents are advised to remain vigilant against these digital scams.
