RavennAntica reports 429,000 euro loss for 2025
The Board of Directors of RavennAntica has approved its 2025 financial statements, revealing a loss of 429,000 euros. President Marianna Panebarco stated that the deficit stems from addressing previous obligations, specifically adjustments related to the 2022-2024 national labor contract, rather than issues in the core management of the foundation's activities.
Panebarco emphasized a commitment to transparency and the priority of paying contract arrears to employees. The foundation continues to manage significant cultural operations, including approximately 30,000 hours of museum and monument openings and educational activities involving nearly 100,000 students annually.
Fabio Sbaraglia, the municipal assessor for cultural policies, expressed the City of Ravenna's support for the foundation. He noted that while the loss requires attention to achieve economic rebalancing, the core management of the foundation's activities remains substantially balanced and serves as a vital resource for the city's tourism and cultural life.
