Ravensburg district reports multiple serious traffic incidents

Several serious incidents have been reported in the Ravensburg district. On a Saturday evening, a high-speed rear-end collision occurred on the A96 motorway near Neuravensburg heading toward Memmingen. A 22-year-old driver struck the back of a BMW, resulting in injuries to four people. One 37-year-old passenger was critically injured and required emergency transport via rescue helicopter. Total property damage for the accident is estimated at approximately 55,000 euros.

In a separate incident in Weingarten, a 61-year-old transporter driver died following a medical emergency. The driver veered off the L317 road and struck a tree. Additionally, police in Weingarten intercepted a 60-year-old man driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level exceeding 1.1 per mille. Authorities are also investigating a hit-and-run involving a damaged Opel in Altshausen.
