Ravindra Jadeja named in Saurashtra squad for Ranji Trophy opener

Ravindra Jadeja has been named in Saurashtra’s 16-member squad for the Ranji Trophy 2026/27 season opener against Chhattisgarh. The match is scheduled to begin on October 11 at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

Veteran fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat will continue to captain the side. Jadeja, who recently participated in India’s ODI series against the West Indies, enters the domestic tournament looking to regain red-ball rhythm ahead of India’s upcoming Test tour of New Zealand in November.

The Saurashtra squad includes several experienced players such as Arpit Vasavada, Chirag Jani, and Jay Gohil, alongside wicket-keeper Harvik Desai. The selection also features new call-ups Neel Pandya and Arth Yadav. Saurashtra is placed in Elite Group B for this edition of the tournament.
