Ravindra Jadeja joins elite Test cricket club with 350 wickets

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has achieved a rare milestone in Test cricket, becoming only the fourth player in history to record at least 4,000 runs and 350 wickets. He reached this landmark during the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle. Jadeja joins an elite group of all-rounders including Kapil Dev, Ian Botham, and Daniel Vettori.

During the third day of the match, Jadeja claimed his 350th Test wicket by dismissing Sri Lankan batter Keshara Nuwantha. The dismissal occurred when the ball struck fielder Yashasvi Jaiswal and was caught by Shubman Gill. With this achievement, Jadeja becomes the fifth Indian bowler to reach the 350-wicket mark, following Anil Kumble, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kapil Dev, and Harbhajan Singh.

As of the milestone, Jadeja has amassed 4,108 runs and 350 wickets in 90 Test matches. He is notably the only player in this four-man elite group to achieve the double in fewer than 100 Tests.
