Ravindra Jadeja records 22 consecutive unsuccessful DRS reviews

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has recorded 22 consecutive unsuccessful Decision Review System (DRS) reviews in Test cricket. The streak, which spans over three years, was extended during the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo when an LBW appeal against batter Keshara Nuwantha was overturned because replays showed the ball struck the bat before the pad.

Of the 22 unsuccessful attempts, 18 were completely unsuccessful, while four resulted in an ‘Umpire’s Call’. Jadeja’s last successful review involving his bowling occurred in July 2023 against the West Indies.

In addition to the DRS struggles, Jadeja’s performance in the series against Sri Lanka has been noted for a high number of no-balls, which coaching staff attributed to over-striding and rhythm lapses.
