Ravindra Jadeja remains in India's 2027 World Cup plans

India's spin-bowling coach, Sairaj Bahutule, stated that veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remains under consideration for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Bahutule emphasized Jadeja's value as a utility player due to his ability to contribute with both bat and ball.

Jadeja recently returned to the ODI squad for a match against the West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram after missing previous series against Afghanistan and England. While his recent outing resulted in him going wicketless, Bahutule noted improvements in Jadeja's bowling over the last six months and highlighted his strong performance in recent Test matches in Sri Lanka.

India is currently assessing various spin-bowling options, including Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar, to determine the best lineup for the 2027 tournament, which is scheduled to be hosted in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
