Ravneet Singh Bittu receives death threat from Lashkar-e-Jhangvi claimant

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu has received death threats via telephone. The caller reportedly identified himself using the name of Malik Ishaq, a leader of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

According to audio recordings, the caller threatened to use a '1 kg box'—implying an explosive device—against Bittu and his security detail within the next 5 to 15 days. Police have initiated an investigation into the caller's number to trace the individual responsible.

This threat follows a previous incident on September 18, when Bittu claimed his convoy was attacked by over 100 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers near Batala, Punjab. During that encounter, stones and eggs were allegedly thrown at his vehicles, resulting in broken windows on two escort vehicles and a jammer vehicle. Bittu has informed the Union Home Ministry regarding these security concerns.
