Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce celebrates World Egg Day 2026

The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), in partnership with SB Eggs, hosted a World Egg Day 2026 event in Rawalpindi to promote nutritional awareness and the importance of eggs as an affordable protein source.

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi attended as the chief guest, offering Pakistan Railways’ cargo and freight services to support the poultry sector by transporting poultry feed across the country. The minister noted that Pakistan Railways achieved a record annual revenue of Rs115 billion during the 2025–26 fiscal year, with a target of Rs160 billion for the upcoming year. To expand cargo operations, the number of freight trains is expected to increase from nine to 14 by January 2027.

RCCI President Nosherwan Khalil Khan emphasized the poultry sector's role in food security and nutrition, particularly for child development.
