Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency launches graveyard plantation campaign

The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency has launched a specialized tree plantation campaign aimed at making the city's graveyards greener, more beautiful, and environmentally friendly. Under the direction of Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, teams are identifying suitable locations to plant various species and improve existing green belts.

The initiative seeks to increase greenery, lower local temperatures, and provide a peaceful, clean environment for citizens. Beyond initial planting, the agency is implementing measures for proper irrigation, maintenance, and care to ensure the long-term health and growth of the trees. This effort aligns with the Punjab government's vision for cleaner and greener cities.
