Rawicz County adds third medical rescue team and refurbishes fire brigade headquarters

On 1 August 2025 the third basic medical rescue team (ZRM) began operating in Bojanowo, expanding emergency coverage in Rawicz County. The deployment follows a health‑minister decision on 27 April 2025 to create three new basic teams in the Greater Poland region, aimed at reducing response times that previously exceeded statutory limits. Hospital director Tomasz Paczkowski and health‑department director Ewa Panowicz highlighted the need for an ambulance and better service for the north‑west part of Rawicz and the south‑west part of Gostyń counties.

In a separate local initiative, the Rawicz County State Fire Service renovated the grounds of its command building. Firefighters removed a hazardous tree, leveled the terrain, filled a protruding well and prepared the area for grass sowing. The work was carried out by senior officers Tomasz Kapała, Adam Spychalski and Mateusz Szponik, under the direction of commander Jakub Stryjak, using privately donated equipment and without external contractors. The project improves safety and the appearance of the fire‑brigade facilities.
