Rawson celebrates 84th anniversary with new park and road works
The department of Rawson celebrated its 84th anniversary with the inauguration of the Paseo de la Argentinidad, a 15,000-square-meter public space. The project transformed a former open-air landfill into a community area designed for sports, culture, and social gatherings.
During the anniversary celebrations, San Juan Governor Marcelo Orrego announced a significant infrastructure project to repave Abraham Tapia street. The provincial government will invest $387 million to repave a 1,557-meter stretch between Avenida de Circunvalación and Callejón Coria. Mayor Carlos Munisaga noted that the new park was funded by departmental resources and emphasized the importance of reclaiming abandoned areas for public use.
