Rawson implements tourism training and urban management reforms

The Municipality of Rawson is implementing several local initiatives focused on tourism development and urban management. Through the Ente Mixto Rawson Turístico and the Ministry of Tourism and Protected Areas, the city is launching the ‘Anfitriones de Gondwana’ workshop. This program aims to train service providers, entrepreneurs, and students to better communicate the paleontological and cultural value of the Gondwana Valley Route, a tourist corridor connecting Playa Unión to Esquel.

In terms of urban management, Mayor Carlos Munisaga has deployed a new inspection body to eliminate unauthorized parking attendants, known as ‘trapitos’, in the Villa Krause microcenter. To support this, the municipality has introduced ‘Lito’, a digital assistant that allows residents to report illegal parking via photos and location data. Additionally, the local administration announced a 2.5 billion peso paving plan intended to repair roads damaged by sewage works and asphalt residential gravel streets.
