Ray Guy Award announces preseason watch list

The Augusta Sports Council has announced the preseason watch list for the 2026 Ray Guy Award, which recognizes the top collegiate punter in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).

Among the honorees are Middle Tennessee State University's Ashton Logan and Texas A&M's Tyler White. Logan enters the season following a year where he averaged 44.7 yards per punt and placed 29 kicks inside the 20-yard line. White, a redshirt junior, previously served as a Ray Guy Award semifinalist, recording a 44.3-yard average and 19 punts inside the 20-yard line during the 2025 season.

The award selection process involves a national body of sports information directors, media representatives, and former winners. Finalists will be announced in late November, with the winner revealed during The Home Depot College Football Awards in December.
