Rayados de Monterrey midfielder calls for patience under Matías Almeyda

Rayados de Monterrey midfielder Oliver Torres is calling for patience regarding the team’s current transition under manager Matías Almeyda. Despite the club currently sitting in tenth place with 13 points in the Liga MX Apertura 2026 tournament, Torres emphasized that the team remains focused on winning the title.

Torres noted that the squad is undergoing a period of adaptation to Almeyda’s high demands and clear tactical ideas. He suggested that recent negative results may not fully reflect the progress being made within the team, citing the individual improvement of players like central defender Víctor Guzmán as evidence of the coaching staff's impact.

Following a 4-2 loss to Atlante, the team will use the upcoming break to continue their developmental process before returning to official competition on October 10, when they face América.
