Oregon man sentenced to probation for ICE terror plot

Rayden Tanner Coleman, 19, of Columbia City, Oregon, has been sentenced to 36 months of supervised probation and 75 days in jail, with credit given for time already served, following a plea agreement in Columbia County Circuit Court.

Coleman pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful manufacture of a destructive device. Under the terms of the plea deal, prosecutors dismissed 13 other charges, which included second-degree domestic terrorism, attempted first-degree domestic terrorism, and attempted assault.

Investigators previously alleged that Coleman had devised a plot targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at a Portland facility. The investigation revealed that Coleman had written a manifesto, built Molotov cocktails, and made statements regarding plans to stalk and kill federal agents. Authorities also reported he intended to form a militia known as the ‘Cascadia Rangers.’

Judge Michael T. Clarke presided over the sentencing. In addition to probation and time served, Coleman is required to undergo mental health evaluations, surrender seized weapons, and pay $550 in fines and fees.
