Raydium (RAY) token rallies amid surge in Solana DEX activity

Raydium (RAY), a major decentralized exchange on the Solana network, has experienced a significant price rally, with the token increasing 121% over the past month. Recent data shows the token rose approximately 17.43% in a single day, supported by a surge in protocol activity.

Key performance metrics indicate a sharp rise in user engagement. Daily active users reached 162,085, a 77.7% increase from previous levels, while daily transactions climbed to 3.1 million. Trading volume also saw substantial growth, with decentralized exchange volume reaching $435.13 million.

A primary driver for the token's performance is Raydium’s automated buyback mechanism. The protocol routes 12% of trading fees from its various pools into open-market RAY purchases. To date, more than 30% of the total circulating supply has been bought back through these protocol fees.

Despite the increase in usage and volume, the rally faces some headwinds. While Total Value Locked (TVL) remains stable at approximately $1.13 billion, market data shows persistent selling pressure in the spot market, with recent net selling recorded at $466,000 over a 24-hour period.
