Rayen Petrovický signs with HC Oceláři Třinec
Rayen Petrovický, a 24-year-old Slovak defenseman, has signed with the Czech hockey club HC Oceláři Třinec. Petrovický joins the organization from HC Olomouc and is expected to support both the main Třinec team and their partner club, Frýdek-Místek.
Sporting director Jan Peterek stated that the club sought a defenseman capable of assisting both teams following the departure of Alex Rašner to Jihlava. Petrovický brings experience from the Slovak national team, having played 27 to 28 games for the national squad, as well as 63 appearances in the Czech Extraliga with Liberec and Olomouc.
Petrovický expressed enthusiasm regarding the move, noting that Třinec’s ambitions and facilities provide an ideal environment for player development.
