Raymond Muratalla Beats Robson Conceição, Retains Lightweight Title

Robson Conceição, the 2016 Olympic lightweight gold‑medalist from Brazil, challenged American boxer Raymond Muratalla for the IBF lightweight world championship in Las Vegas, United States, on Saturday. After twelve rounds the judges awarded Muratalla a unanimous decision, with scores of 118‑110 and 119‑109, allowing him to keep the belt.

Muratalla, who entered the bout with a perfect 24‑0 record and 17 knockouts, extended his unbeaten streak to 25 wins. Conceição, 37, was seeking his second world title in a different weight class after having held the IBF super‑feather title earlier in 2024. The fight saw Conceição start aggressively but Muratalla adjusted his strategy from the second round onward, controlling the pace and landing the more effective punches.
