Rayon Sports wins 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Kigali

Rwanda’s Rayon Sports won the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup title after defeating Kenya’s Gor Mahia 2-1 in the final held at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. The match remained tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time, with Herman Junior Kameni scoring for the hosts in the 30th minute and Musa Sharif Sirengo equalizing for Gor Mahia in the 57th minute. Daniel Muhoza scored the winning extra-time goal for Rayon Sports, marking the club's second regional title and ending a 28-year trophy drought.
