Rayonier Advanced Materials reports improved Q2 results amid strategic review
Rayonier Advanced Materials reported second-quarter net sales of $376 million, an 18% sequential increase and 11% increase compared to the prior-year quarter. Adjusted EBITDA rose to $40 million, up from $8 million in the first quarter. The company reported a loss from continuing operations of $33 million, which is an improvement from the $81 million loss recorded in Q1.
CEO Dan Krawczyk stated that the company's strategic review remains a top priority and is expected to conclude with a clear path forward in the fourth quarter. Krawczyk noted that the company is evaluating various strategic and financial alternatives and has seen "constructive engagement from interested parties."
Despite the improved quarterly performance, analysts at Sidoti have expressed a pessimistic outlook, cutting FY2026 earnings per share estimates to a loss of $1.47 per share. Rayonier Advanced Materials' most recent quarterly earnings per share of ($0.30) missed the consensus estimate of ($0.22).
