Razali Idris addresses Bersatu party oath and loyalty

Datuk Razali Idris, the former head of the Bersatu Terengganu leadership, has addressed the obligations of party members regarding their oath and allegiance (baiah). He emphasized that members are required to follow party instructions and policies, provided those instructions do not conflict with Islamic teachings.

Razali’s comments follow his recent suggestion that he may leave Bersatu after approximately 10 years in leadership, though he has not specified his future political direction beyond pursuing a new platform. His remarks serve as a response to statements made by Bersatu Information Chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz concerning members who wish to defect or switch to other political parties.
