Razer announces Clio X wireless speaker head cushion

Razer has announced the Razer Clio X, a wireless speaker head cushion designed to integrate with high-back gaming and office chairs. Debuting at PAX West 2026, the device aims to provide rear surround sound immersion without the need for traditional headsets.

The Clio X features an integrated near-field speaker design with dual 38mm full-range drivers and 55mm passive radiators. It utilizes THX Spatial Audio to create a wider soundstage and employs Razer HyperSpeed 2.4 GHz wireless technology to ensure ultra-low latency. The device can function as a standalone primary audio source or be paired in Surround Mode with existing soundbars or 2.0/2.1 audio systems to act as wireless rear speakers.

Designed for versatility, the cushion includes an adjustable nylon strap to fit most high-back chairs and offers three EQ modes—Game, Movie, and Music—customizable via Razer Synapse. For power, it can be used with a USB-C PD 2.0 power bank, providing up to 40 hours of wireless use. In the Chinese market, the product is priced at 799 Yuan.
