Razer announces Mako and Mako X compact gaming speakers

Razer has announced the Mako and Mako X, a new line of compact desktop gaming speakers designed to provide immersive audio without occupying significant desk space. This marks the return of the Mako name, which was previously used by the company in 2008.

The Razer Mako is a 2.1-channel system featuring two 2.75-inch full-range drivers and a dedicated 3.5-inch forward-firing subwoofer. It delivers 40W RMS and 60W peak power, with a frequency response reaching 45Hz. A notable feature is its rear-projection Razer Chroma RGB lighting, which casts ambient colors onto the wall behind the desk.

The Razer Mako X is a more compact 2.0-channel configuration. It utilizes the same 2.75-inch drivers but replaces the separate subwoofer with integrated passive radiators. This model provides 30W RMS and 45W peak power, with a frequency response down to 60Hz. It features 10-zone underglow Chroma RGB lighting.

Both models support 7.1 virtual surround sound, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C connectivity. The Mako X is scheduled for release on October 6, 2026, priced at 109.99 Euro, while the standard Mako will follow in December 2026 for 159.99 Euro.
