Razvan Lucescu appointed head coach of Qatar's Al‑Sant after PAOK tenure

Romanian coach Razvan Lucescu, who led Greece's PAOK for five consecutive seasons and secured a league title, has signed a two‑year contract to become head coach of Al‑Sant in Qatar. The appointment marks his return to the Gulf region following previous spells at Al‑Jazira in the United Arab Emirates (2012‑2014) and Al‑Hilal in Saudi Arabia (2019‑2021).

PAOK's preseason continues in the Netherlands, with players such as Kiril Despotos and newcomer Taisson training ahead of friendly matches against Vesterlo, AEK Larissa and Twente. Midfielder Giannis Sarri suffered a knee injury in the recent friendly against Vesterlo and is awaiting medical examinations to assess the severity of the damage.
