RB Salzburg falls 0-4 to AC Milan following Mazurek error

RB Salzburg suffered a 0-4 home defeat against AC Milan in the Europa League, a match marked by a significant error from 19-year-old Polish midfielder Bartosz Mazurek.

Mazurek, who recently joined the Austrian club from Jagiellonia Białystok, played the full match but struggled with several turnovers. His most critical mistake occurred in the 72nd minute when he lost control of the ball near his own penalty area. This error allowed Milan players to intercept the ball, leading to a goal by Goncalo Ramos.

Following the incident, Mazurek reportedly apologized to his teammates. RB Salzburg coach Danny Roehl addressed the team's defensive lapses after the game, noting that a lack of vigilance in their own penalty area resulted in goals that are “mercilessly punished” at this professional level.
