Rúben Amorim poised to take over as AC Milan manager

Portuguese coach Rúben Amorim, dismissed by Manchester United in November, is the leading candidate to become the new head coach of AC Milan following the club's termination of Massimiliano Allegri. Milan officials have travelled to Lisbon to negotiate with Amorim, who has expressed willingness to accept the terms discussed and is awaiting the final green light. Amorim’s recent record at Sporting Lisbon includes 63 matches with 24 wins, 18 draws and 21 losses, and his departure from United reportedly cost the English club €18 million. The appointment would mark his first managerial role in Italy.

The move is seen as a strategic effort by Milan to revive the squad after missing out on the Champions League and finishing the season outside the top places.
