RBI announces bank closures across India for late June and early July
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issued its holiday calendar indicating that all public and private sector banks will be closed from June 29 through July 5. The schedule includes every Sunday, the second and fourth Saturdays of July, and specific regional holidays such as Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti in Shimla on June 29 and Remna Ni in Aizawl on June 30.
Physical branch services such as cash deposits, withdrawals, and loan processing will not be available on those days, but digital channels—including UPI, mobile banking apps, and online fund‑transfer systems—will continue to operate nationwide.
