RC Celta de Vigo announces Balaídos stadium transformation and funding plans
RC Celta de Vigo has confirmed plans to transform its Balaídos stadium into a multi-use leisure hub through the ‘Celta360’ project. During a shareholders' meeting, the club announced the addition of several gastronomic and social spaces, including the arrival of the iconic local establishment ‘La Aldeana’, the creation of a ‘Taberna Celta’ sports bar, and the inauguration of ‘Espacio Conxemar’. These additions aim to enhance the fan experience and modernize the stadium in line with major European venues.
To finance the Celta360 project, which is expected to exceed 100 million euros, the club is pursuing multiple funding avenues. These include CVC funds, bank loans, and potential capital increases over the next three years. Financial Director Miguel Ángel Amo noted that current available funds are insufficient to cover all planned investments and that negotiations with banks and other financial agents are well underway. Additionally, there is potential involvement from investors José and Osael Maroto to support the initiative.
