Málaga CF and Celta de Vigo draw 1-1 in LaLiga clash

Málaga CF and RC Celta de Vigo played to a 1-1 draw in a LaLiga match at Abanca-Balaídos. Ferran Jutglà opened the scoring for Celta in the 41st minute following a turnover by Dani Lorenzo. Málaga secured a late equalizer in the 83rd minute through a header by Adrián Niño, who was making his debut this season after recovering from injury.

The match was played under high temperatures, which reportedly affected player performance. Celta manager Claudio Giráldez expressed frustration over the result and the heat, noting that player Pablo Durán suffered from heatstroke and captain Iago Aspas sustained a potential muscle tear in the rectus femoris during the closing minutes. Aspas is expected to be sidelined until after the international break.

Málaga's squad was also impacted by a gastrointestinal virus that affected several players, including Carlos Dotor, who was unavailable for the match. Despite the setbacks, the draw provides Málaga with their third point of the season, while Celta remains without a victory after six matches.
