Real Club Deportivo A Coruña rebrands with new name and visual identity

The historic Spanish football club formerly known as Deportivo La Coruña has officially changed its corporate name to Real Club Deportivo A Coruña after a binding members' referendum. More than 79 % of voting members approved the amendment, aligning the club’s name with the Galician top‑onym “A Coruña”. The change was ratified at an extraordinary general meeting and will be reflected in the club’s legal statutes and future communications.

The rebranding also introduces a new crest and a proprietary typographic system, featuring the “Faro” and “Proa” fonts designed to convey the city’s heritage. As part of the 120‑year anniversary celebrations, the club has launched a children’s clothing line in partnership with Zara, the first such collaboration for a Spanish football club, showcasing the new logo and visual assets.

The changes come as Deportivo A Coruña returns to La Liga for the 2026/27 season, marking a positive new chapter for the team and its supporters.
