RC Strasbourg generates 165 million euros in summer transfer sales

RC Strasbourg Alsace has completed a massive summer transfer window, generating approximately 165 million euros from player sales. Key departures include Emmanuel Emegha and Valentin Barco, both sold to Chelsea for 40 million and 25 million euros respectively. Additionally, Julio Enciso and Abdoul Ouattara were sold to Ipswich Town for a combined 50 million euros. Diego Moreira is also reportedly linked with a 50 million euro move to AC Milan.

To rebuild the squad, the club has signed 12 new players, including Giovanni Reyna, Diogo Sousa, and Jacobo Ortega. This high-volume recruitment strategy, which involves an estimated 8 million euro package for recent arrivals, is driven by the club's ownership, BlueCo. The strategy focuses on scouting young talent and utilizing data to generate long-term sporting and financial value.
