RCC wins Dutch national T20 cricket title
Rotterdam-based RCC has secured the national T20 cricket title after defeating two clubs from the Hague region, VCC and HCC. This victory follows their success in the 50-over competition.
In the matches leading to the title, HCC scored 195/7, supported by Zac Worden (44) and Daniel Crowley (48), but ultimately fell to RCC with a score of 209-106. Sulaiman Tariq was a key performer for RCC, taking 5-35. VCC also suffered a defeat against RCC, who posted 176/6. VCC's Michael Rippon contributed 3-21 with the ball, but the team was hampered by the absence of four players participating in the international ETPL tournament.
In other news, Quick secured a significant victory against VOC reserves with a score of 189-101, led by Sam Voss's 95 not out. This sets the stage for a Quick-HBS matchup on September 12. In the women's T20 category, Kampong claimed the championship after defeating the All Stars in the final over.
