RCD Mallorca midfielder Jan Salas suffers new injury

RCD Mallorca midfielder Jan Salas has suffered a new setback during his recovery process. The player sustained a right thigh muscle injury during training, according to a club announcement on Thursday.

This injury follows a significant period of rehabilitation for Salas, who missed seven months of action after suffering a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in February. While he had recently returned to training in mid-September, this muscular injury will delay his return to official match squads for several weeks.

Coach Luis García expressed regret over the situation, noting Salas's high level of commitment and emphasizing the need to support the player mentally. Salas joins five other players currently in the Mallorca medical room: Josep Cerdà, Arnau Puigmal, Dani Luna, Antoniu Roca, and Manu Morlanes.
