The Saskatchewan RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit is investigating a suspicious death in Sandy Bay that occurred in the early morning of August 16. Officers responded to a report of an injured man at a residence around 4:30 a.m., but the individual was declared dead at the scene by medical professionals.
Police are searching for a dark-coloured blue or black van or SUV that may be connected to the incident. The vehicle may have a dent on the driver’s side back rim. Authorities have warned the public not to approach the vehicle, as the occupants are considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators are asking residents in the Sandy Bay area to review home security and doorbell camera footage from the morning of August 16 for any suspicious activity or sightings of the described vehicle. An increased police presence will remain in the community for an undetermined period as the investigation continues.
