RCMP Musical Ride performs for 3,000 attendees in Williams Lake
The RCMP Musical Ride returned to the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds on Wednesday, August 19, drawing an estimated 3,000 attendees. The event featured horses exclusively bred in Pakenham, Ontario, and included a pre-performance visit where hundreds of children met the animals.
Williams Lake RCMP detachment commander Brad McKinnon noted the significance of the event for the community. A portion of the ticket proceeds is designated to support Williams Lake Community Policing, and attendees were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to the Williams Lake Salvation Army Food Bank.
Mayor Surinderpal Rathor attended the sold-out performance, describing it as a spectacular evening for the community.
