RD Fashion Week 2026 to celebrate Leonel Lirio’s 40-year career

The seventeenth edition of RD Fashion Week 2026 will feature a celebration of designer Leonel Lirio’s 40-year career. Melkis Díaz, the platform's founder, announced that the event aims to promote national talent and creativity through various new initiatives.

One highlighted program is ‘Moda por la Inclusión,’ a long-standing initiative held in collaboration with the Attorney General's Office. This project provides a platform for people with disabilities, street children, senior citizens, and incarcerated individuals to participate through fashion.

Additionally, designer Raúl López, founder of the brand LUAR, held a workshop for emerging talents. During the session, López emphasized the importance of identity, roots, and studying fashion history to build authentic professional careers rather than simply following trends.
