Rødding residents hold demonstration against racist vandalism

Residents of Rødding, a town in the Vejen Municipality of southern Jutland, held a torchlight procession and demonstration to protest recent acts of vandalism targeting local businesses. The demonstration, organized under the name ‘Rødding mod racisme’, was prompted by several incidents where business owners of immigrant backgrounds were targeted with hateful messages.

Co-organizer Kasper Hofer Østergaard expressed gratitude for the community turnout despite poor weather, noting the profound impact of the incidents on local citizens. Participants included residents of all ages who gathered to show solidarity with the affected business owners. Local community members expressed their belief that the vandalism was racially motivated, as all targeted individuals are of non-Danish ethnic origin.
