RDTH architects reshape historic Prague spaces, from apartment to castle education centre

Czech studio RDTH architects transformed a 100 m² apartment in Prague by removing traditional walls and using curtains, glass bricks, a rotating central furniture block and smart lighting to create fluid, light‑filled zones. The design features raw concrete, oak parquet, dual kitchens for socialising and work, and an integrated bathroom, illustrating a radical approach to modern urban living.

In a separate project, RDTH won a Prague Castle architectural competition to convert two vacant Neo‑Gothic Mocker (Kanovnické) houses into a new education centre. The proposal provides a spacious entrance hall with a bistro, a flexible, accessible layout for schools and public programmes, a multimedia basement hall, and respects the historic fabric through careful material choice and restored entrances. Construction could begin within three years, offering a venue for civic education on topics such as constitutionality and democracy.
