RE-SEED Project provides 15 million lira to entrepreneurs in Kahramanmaraş
The RE-SEED Project, aimed at supporting economic recovery in Kahramanmaraş following the February 6, 2023, earthquakes, has concluded its activities with a closing and networking event at the Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Out of more than 700 applicants, 100 entrepreneurs were selected to receive training and coaching in areas such as entrepreneurship, marketing, branding, e-commerce, and business plan development. Following the training, successful participants received financial grants of approximately 150,000 lira each, totaling 15 million lira in support.
The project was financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It was implemented by GIZ in partnership with the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and the German Sparkassenstiftung (DSIK). The initiative focuses on fostering sustainable employment and socio-economic development through strengthened production and entrepreneurship ecosystems in the earthquake-affected region.
