Reading FC secures 2-1 comeback victory against Barnsley
Reading FC moved up to fifth in the League One table following a 2-1 comeback win against Barnsley at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Despite conceding a goal in the seventh minute to Vimal Yoganathan, the Royals secured the win through a second-half brace from Kyreece Lisbie.
Manager Leam Richardson noted that the team’s first-half performance was “not acceptable” due to a lack of running pace and intensity. However, he praised the squad's ability to adjust at halftime, stating that the second half was “excellent” and that the team showed the necessary application to control the ball and create chances.
The victory marks Reading's second consecutive win, following a 1-0 result against Leyton Orient. While the performances have been described as inconsistent, the recent results have provided the club with six points from their last two matches.
